Axxess Has Comprehensive Training and Compliant Software for ICD-10 Coding

Author: Axxess

Is Your Organization Ready for October 1?

DALLAS (Sept. 28, 2015) – Axxess, an industry leader in home health management software and accredited by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC), offers in-person, hands-on training to help home health organizations effectively transition to the new ICD-10-CM medical code set, effective October 1, 2015.

Next week, healthcare organizations, subject to HIPAA compliance, must begin using ICD-10. “Organizations that are unprepared will face claim denials that will hurt their cash flow,” said John Olajide, President and CEO of Axxess. “To help ensure a smooth and successful transition, Axxess offers both authoritative education and ICD-10-compliant software solutions.”

By now, at a minimum, each agency should have:

  • Studied the new regulations and requirements
  • Identified processes and systems to be updated
  • Selected a knowledgeable, reputable training partner
  • Trained as many staff members as possible: clinicians, coders, billers, administrators, etc.
  • Evaluated software vendor and other partners for ICD-10 readiness
  • Tested internal processes and systems
  • Made process and system adjustments, if necessary
