John Olajide, the founder and CEO of the Dallas-based healthcare technology company Axxess, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Texas at Dallas at an awards gala last night.
Olajide started Axxess while studying computer science at UT Dallas. Since graduating in 2004, he has built Axxess into one of the fastest growing home healthcare technology companies in the country. Axxess continually introduces new technologies, services and software solutions that allow home health agencies to improve their patients’ outcomes while increasing their revenue and growing their business. Olajide and Axxess are active participants in the Dallas business community, especially in the healthcare and technology sectors.
“The education, connections, and guidance I received at UT Dallas were instrumental in building Axxess to be a successful company,” said Olajide. “Thank you to all of my professors, friends and colleagues that supported me during my time at UT Dallas and beyond. And thank you to the alumni board for recognizing me with the Distinguished Alumni Award.”
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that the University bestows on its alumni. It is presented to individuals who are distinguished in their chosen professions or life’s work who demonstrate pride in the University.
