NewsDay Tuesday: CMS May Use New Child HCAHPS to Adjust Medicaid Hospital Pay

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will begin to expand the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) program to include hospital reimbursement for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance programs. The program, funded by CMS and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), has been field tested at Boston Children Hospital’s Center of Excellence for Pediatric Quality Measurement and the CAHPS Consortium.
