NewsDay Tuesday: CMS Announces Special Enrollment Period for Tax Season

Tax filing season is here. CMS announced there will be a special enrollment period for families and individuals who do not have health coverage and paying the fee for ‘shared responsibility’ when they file their 2014 taxes in states that which use the Federally-facilitated marketplaces (FFM). The special enrollment period will begin on March 15 and end at 11:59 pm EST on April 30. Read more here.
