Axxess Home Health now enables users to add documents and preadmission notes to existing referral records. Documents and preadmission notes added to a referral will remain attached as the referral transitions to a pending admission and to an active patient record.
This enhancement streamlines referral processes by enabling organizations to maintain appropriate documentation of critical information throughout the lifecycle of a referral/patient record.
To add a document to an existing referral, navigate to the Patients tab and select Referrals.

On the Referral List screen, navigate to the desired referral, select the paperclip icon under Actions and click New Document.
In the Upload Referral Document window, click Choose File to browse your device and select the desired document. Enter a document name, select a document type and click Save.
To view the uploaded document, select the paper clip icon under Actions on the Referral List screen.
To add a preadmission note to an existing referral, navigate to the Patients tab and select Referrals.

On the Referral List screen, navigate to the desired referral and select Notes under Actions.
On the Preadmission Notes screen, select Add New Note. Enter a title, record the necessary notes and click Save in the Preadmission Note window. To view the documented preadmission note, reopen the Preadmission Notes screen by selecting Notes under Actions.
