Axxess Home Health now enables users to mark physician orders as Do Not Send. Marking a physician order as Do Not Send prevents it from being automatically sent to the physician.
This functionality accounts for orders that have been completed outside the system that do not need to be re-sent to the physician.
Users must have permission to mark orders as Do Not Send in Axxess Home Health.
To give a user permission to mark orders as Do Not Send, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Clinical section of permissions, select No Physician Signature Required/Do Not Send Orders. Click Save to finish granting the permission to the user.
View tab ➜ Lists ➜ Users ➜ Edit ➜ Permissions ➜ Clinical section ➜ No Physician Signature Required/Do Not Send Orders ➜ Save
Once the permission has been granted, the user will see a Do Not Send option when creating and editing physician orders.
When Do Not Send is selected, the order’s status will update to Order Received once it is approved in the QA Center. The order will not flow to the Orders to Be Sent screen after it is approved in QA.
