No Physician Signature Required

Axxess Home Health now enables users to easily indicate when a physician signature is not required on a physician order. By selecting No Physician Signature Required on a physician order, agencies can easily and efficiently track orders and ensure seamless coordination of care.

Physician orders that do not require signatures will act as placeholders, and physicians will not be required to sign and return these orders in the system. Physician orders that could fall into this category include orders have already been signed on paper and need to be entered through the patient’s chart.

No Physician Signature Required

When writing a new physician order, users can select No Physician Signature Required in the first section of the order.

When this option is selected, the order will flow through the normal QA process. Once approved in QA, the order will flow to the Orders to Be Sent screen. Users can mark the order as sent from the system; however, the system will not electronically send the order when No Physician Signature Required has been selected.

Once the order is marked as sent, the order status will update to Order Received in the patient’s chart.

When the order is marked as sent, the order PDF will be updated to Coordination of Care – No Physician Signature Required. The date section will reflect the date that the order was marked as sent in the system.
