OASIS Improvement Indicators

Axxess Home Health now provides a setting that organizations can enable to activate visual progress indicators in OASIS assessments. These indicators facilitate improved outcomes by displaying whether a patient has improved, declined or remained stable on each OASIS-based outcome measure since the most recently completed OASIS Start of Care or Resumption of Care.

To enable this setting, users must have permission to manage company information in Axxess Home Health.

To enable OASIS improvement indicators, navigate to Company Setup under the Admin tab. On the Clinical tab, click Enable under OASIS Improvement Indicators. Click Submit Request at the bottom of the screen to finish enabling the feature.

Admin tab ➜ Company Setup ➜ Clinical tab ➜ OASIS Improvement Indicators ➜ Enable ➜ Submit Request

Once enabled, clinicians will see a real-time OASIS indicator on each outcome measure in the Recertification, Other Follow-Up, Discharge and Discharge Non-Visit assessments. The indicator will display Improved, Declined or Stabilized based on the item’s scoring in the most recently completed OASIS Start of Care or Resumption of Care compared to how the item is now being scored.

Users can select the indicator icon to compare the current selection with the previous selection.

OASIS improvement indicators will appear on the following items:
