The Visit and Travel Time Validations section on the Clinical tab of Company Setup in Axxess Home Health now enables users to select Warning or Compliance for visit time duration, travel time duration and conflicting visit time validations.
Selecting Warning will alert clinicians when their visit time or travel time falls outside the company’s specified parameters or overlaps with another visit on their schedule. Selecting Compliance will prevent clinicians from submitting documentation when their visit time or travel time falls outside the company’s specified parameters or overlaps with another visit on their schedule.
This enhancement streamlines operations and facilitates compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
To enable visit and/or travel time validations, navigate to Company Setup under the Admin tab. On the Clinical tab, navigate to the Visit and Travel Time Validations section.

Select Enable under the desired validation types. The Warning and Compliance options appear under the Visit Time Duration, Travel Time Duration and Conflicting Visit Times validation sections.
Selecting Warning will alert clinicians when the visit or travel time falls outside the company’s specified parameters or overlaps with another visit on the clinician’s schedule, but will enable the clinician to continue submitting the documentation.
Selecting Compliance will prevent clinicians from submitting the documentation if the visit or travel time falls outside the company’s specified parameters or overlaps with another visit on the clinician’s schedule, and will require the clinician to correct the issue before proceeding.
Click Submit Request to finish enabling the settings.
