Emergency Preparedness Documentation

Axxess CARE now enables users to document emergency preparedness information from comprehensive assessments. By enabling users to complete emergency preparedness documentation at the point of care, this feature promotes optimal patient safety and facilitates seamless compliance with the CMS Home Health Conditions of Participation.

Emergency Preparedness

On the Emergency Preparedness tab, document the patient’s emergency triage classification. The emergency triage classification will prioritize the patient’s care in the event of a disaster or emergency that interrupts patient care delivery.

Additional Emergency Preparedness Information

On the Additional Emergency Preparedness Information tab, use the Templates menu to find organization-specific emergency preparedness templates and add additional information needed during a disaster.

Evacuation Zone

The Evacuation Zone tab enables users to select an evacuation zone for patients in areas that require evacuation.

On the Evacuation Zone tab, select a zone from the Evacuation Zone menu and enter an evacuation address. If the evacuation address is the same as the emergency contact’s address, simply check the box next to Same as Emergency Contact.

Comments

On the Comments tab, enter any additional information that may be necessary during an emergency. This tab enables users to fully document the patient’s emergency needs. Templates can also be selected from the Templates menu on this tab.

Click Save and Exit to return to the assessment when you are finished documenting emergency preparedness details.
