Axxess Hospice uses Axxess intelligence™ to offer a range of notifications that organizations can enable to alert individual users or entire teams to scheduling changes, level of care changes, patient status changes and/or open IDG meetings.
To enable these notifications, users must have permission to view and edit Company Setup in Axxess Hospice.
To give a user permission to view and edit Company Setup, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Administration section, select View and Edit next to the Company Setup permission. Click Save to finish granting the permissions to the user.

To enable notifications, navigate to the Notifications tab in Company Setup.

Select Enable under the desired notification type.
When Enable is selected under Schedule Notifications, the following checkboxes will appear:
Notify assigned users of changes to their schedules
Notify specific users of schedule changes
When Notify specific users of schedule changes is selected, a Notify Recipients By field will appear with the following checkboxes: Title, User and IDG Team. Use these fields to indicate which users should receive schedule notifications.
If your organization has other branches for which you’d like to enable schedule notifications, click Apply settings to other providers, and select the desired providers from the Associated Providers menu.
When Select All is chosen from the Associated Providers menu, all providers to which you have access will be selected. The selected providers will receive schedule notifications.
When Enable is selected under Level of Care Notifications, a Notify Recipients By field will appear with the following checkboxes: Title, User and IDG Team. Use these fields to indicate which users should receive level of care notifications.
If your organization has other branches for which you’d like to enable level of care notifications, click Apply settings to other providers, and select the desired providers from the Associated Providers menu.
When Enable is selected under Patient Status Notifications, a Notify Recipients By field will appear with the following checkboxes: Title, User and IDG Team. Use these fields to indicate which users should receive patient status notifications.
If your organization has other branches for which you’d like to enable patient status notifications, click Apply settings to other providers, and select the desired providers from the Associated Providers menu.
When Enable is selected under IDG Notifications, the following checkboxes will appear:
IDG teams to track
Notify specific users outside the IDG team of open meetings
Notify specific users within the IDG team of open meetings
When IDG teams to track is selected, a Select Team field will appear. Select which IDG teams you would like to receive IDG notifications.
When Notify specific users outside the IDG team of open meetings is selected, a Notify Recipients By field will appear with the following checkboxes: Title and User. Use these fields to indicate which users should receive IDG notifications.
When Notify specific users within the IDG team of open meetings is selected, a Notify Recipients By field will appear with the following checkboxes: Title, User and IDG Team’s Clinical Manager. Use these fields to indicate which users should receive IDG notifications.
Once the desired settings have been selected, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
The automated notifications you establish will appear in the appropriate users’ or groups’ Message Center in Axxess Hospice.
