Enrollment with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) is completed online. Click here to complete enrollment.
Have your Trading Partner Agreement user/login ID and password available. If you need to contact BCBSM to obtain this information, select Request a user ID and password now. You will be prompted to email your request to edisupport@bcbsm.com or you can call (800) 542-0945 and follow the prompts.
Complete the following forms with your billing/group NPI information (Type 2 NPI). If no group, complete the forms for each of your providers. You will need to select which payer you are requesting to enroll on the Provider Authorization Form and the ERA Enrollment Form (BCBSM-BCBS).
1. Trading Partner Agreement Form: If BCBS already has a Trading Partner Agreement on file for your user ID/billing ID, you do not need to complete this form again.

3. 835 ERA Enrollment Form: This form is optional. Complete only if you’re electing remit delivery in Axxess.

Method of Retrieval: Axxess is set up to receive 835 remits using SFTP.
Click Submit once you have completed the forms.
Print a copy of the online forms for your records. You do not need to send hard copies to the payer.
Payer registration takes about 2-3 business days.
To confirm payer approval, call BCBSM at (800) 542-0945 and select the TPA option. You will need to provide the Axxess submitter ID.
You will not be able to transmit electronic claims until your authorization has been loaded in the Axxess database.
