Axxess CARE enables clinicians to screen themselves for COVID-19 and document screening information for agencies to review before assigning visits.
This functionality facilitates seamless compliance with infection control and emergency preparedness requirements.
By closely monitoring COVID-19 screenings, agencies and clinicians can deliver safe, effective care to meet patients’ needs and optimize outcomes.
Clinicians should screen themselves for COVID-19 each day before providing care. To complete a COVID-19 screening, log in to the Axxess CARE application and click Daily COVID-19 Screening on the home screen.
Complete the screening questions and assign a risk level based on the organization’s policies.
If necessary, enter additional screening requirements by selecting an organization from the drop-down menu, uploading a template as needed and entering additional requirements or comments in the Additional Screening Requirements section.
Check the box next to the screening acknowledgement to confirm that the COVID-19 screening was performed before care delivery and that agency policies and procedures were followed to prevent the spread of the virus.
Enter your electronic signature and click Complete to complete the screening.
Once completed and saved, the screening will appear in your user profile.
To view your completed screenings, navigate to the three-line menu in the top left corner of the screen and select Profile. Select EDIT in the top right corner of your profile.
Navigate to the Infectious Disease Screening tab to view your completed screenings or add a new screening.

Click on a completed screening to view the screening questions and answers. To document a new screening, click Add COVID-19 Screening.
When viewing a completed screening, the questions and answers appear in grey. Completed screenings cannot be edited.
Once a clinician completes a COVID-19 screening in Axxess CARE, the screening results appear in the clinician’s profile.
Based on the COVID-19 screening risk assessment, Low Risk or High Risk appears above the clinician’s photo for agencies to easily review when assigning visits. To view a copy of the clinician’s screening, click on the screening results above the clinician’s photo.
When a clinician refuses to complete a COVID-19 screening, the refusal appears above the clinician’s photo in red.
Agencies can also review the results of a clinician’s COVID-19 screening from the COVID-19 Screening section in the clinician’s profile. To view a clinician’s screening, navigate to the COVID-19 Screening section on the left side of the clinician’s profile and select Download.
